It's best for readers to dive-in spoiler free so it's difficult to say too much about the plot, because I personally hate spoilers. What I will say is that this is a debut novel that definitely doesn't read like the work of someone new to thrillers or writing. It's perfectly paced, from its addictive beginning to it's superb ending; guaranteed not an easy book to put down... What really makes Lazarus Curse: The First Secret such a gripping novel is Kobe's understanding & knowledge of mythology and history with the addition of action and adventure. I personally loved how Kobe takes you on a trip around the world and shares such a great thriller and action story with it all merged together as a love story as well. I am excitedly waiting the next book in the Lazarus Curse series.Product details

Great book if you are looking for suspense and adventure
Hard to believe this is the authors first book, amazing read. Suspenseful, unpredictable and engulfing, I had a hard time putting it down. Can't wait for the next book!
I loved the Lazarus Curse The First Secret. It takes the reader on a action packed, fascinating, global journey through different cultures, traditions, history, and love. I learned a lot from it. Kobe is a great storyteller and creates memorable characters, who I really enjoyed following around.
Excellent read!!!! I couldn't put it down. The characters were believable and their development throughout the novel was fantastic. The plot was both modern and ancient and moved throughout the novel very well. The author kept the pace fast and furious the whole way through the novel, with no let up or chance to catch a breath! The ending was definitely a surprise! And last but not least the author left me thirsty for more! I can't wait for the next one!
Kaizen Kobe creates a suspenseful thriller that kept me reading from page one. The characters are well developed and have great back story. The story creates intrigue and allows the reader to look forward to every turn of the page. The mix of military terminology and history coupled with the different areas of the world visited are described in detail and really give a sense of the excitement for the reader, as well as helping the reader connect with the character on all aspects. The author created a great novel and I am greatly looking forward to the next installment in the series.
This is one of the best books I had read in quite some time. I found that while reading the book I had a very hard time putting it down. The characters were very well developed, and the plot lines were not so complex that it would have been difficult to follow. The book draws you in as if you are experiencing each event taking place, and as the stories unfold, they allow for a moderate level of suspense and true to life undertones. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates well written, well thought out entertainment.
For full disclosure I personally know the author and consider him a good friend. With that being said that was the reason I bought and read the book in the first place. I honestly did not expect too much out of the book or story line. After reading the book I was extremely (and pleasantly) surprised.
The book is very well written and edited. From the very beginning until the end the story line, prose, character and story development has you connecting with each character on a personal level. Not only is the book filled with action and mystery. But the author's ability to intertwine multiply story lines and interconnect characters and their stories across continents was what I enjoyed most about the book. I also personally know some of people his characters are based on in the book. And the descriptions in the book are spot on and humorous.
I can not wait until he releases more in the series. Congratulations Kobe. It is well deserved.
